Pakistani Cyber Army hacks CBI website
A group, which calls itself as the ‘Pakistani Cyber Army’, hacked into the website of India’s premier policing agency, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the intervening night of December 3 and 4, and left a note saying that it was a response to attack on Pakistan websites by Indian hackers on November 26. Last heard, CBI officials were still working to restart the website (http://cbi.nic.in/).
In the meanwhile, CBI has registered a case against unknown persons under sections of the Information Technology (IT) Act, 2008. “It has come to the notice of CBI that its official website was unauthorisedly accessed and defaced. A case has been registered in this connection,” CBI has said. According to CBI, the hackers could damage only the website’s homepage.
